Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD
I have to get rid of the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD in my old Jensen VM8023HD I am very unhappy. Let me tell you about VM8023HD Jensen. Its interface is so bad, slow, buggy, and always blocks. There is also a profit when it comes to matters related to media in all its purpose. Sometimes it is the volume control, and is sometimes up and down, and sometimes it’s a different key. It totally violates the principle of least surprise. Looks like it was created and applied a poor student in two weeks. Good selection of features, but completely destroyed by its user interface. In this scenario, I immediately bought Pioneer to replace Jensen.
In general, the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD is very good!
* The sizes are much better than my old Jensen, when it comes to user interface and stability.
* The sound quality is much better (in my point of view).
* The menus are very friendly and easy to handle.
* It also works with MP3 files on a USB key. The choice is simple records, including nested folders. You can pay by touch-drag to quickly scan a long list of places to jog or even play this song. You will see four songs per screen, which is enough.
* Never touch a song is played not to leave the menu, if you play other songs in case you change your mind. It is very good from a distance, you can not remember the title search.
The whole experience is beyond Jensen in all directions. On the other hand, there are some things that could be improved:
* The buttons require a lot of pressure to grow. Would you like a softer touch. You really need to push the button, how can we think. I would also like the touch of a volume knob instead.
* The location of the USB ports and AUX is too bad, because USB is out of the slot easily end up with your arms while driving. This could be the best in the lower right corner instead of in the lower left corner. Given the setup of your car that could not be a problem for you.
* It will ask for a warning screen, you immediately realize that needs to change to a video source, even if you’re parked with the parking brake. I think this action very annoying. If you already left he should not have the warning.
* I’m using an interface SWI-PS steering wheel interface standard and “Mute” will lead the pioneer in the fact that the function “buffer” reduces the volume but not stupid, they begin to fill. I want to silence him. I think the Pioneer is a problem, is not really a SWI-PS, due to Jensen SWI-PS damped properly. I need to find people in contact with the CAP and if she steps into the SWI-PS for this problem are performed.
