2012 BMW M6 Should be Much Better
The new 2012 BMW M6 will have a lot to live up to based on the outgoing V10 model. The 2012 BMW M6 showcased the fruits of BMW’s F1 escapades, with the use of lightweight composite materials in its construction, F1-derived V10 engine, and adjustable suspension. While the 2012 M6 wasn’t everyone’s favorite in the looks department, no one could take anything away from its scintillating performance.

The new 2012 BMW M6 should be much better to look at and even better to drive, according to the info we have managed to amass. BMW designer, Adrian Van Hooydonk, is very much alive, giving his newly designed 2012 BMW 6 Series a much better chance in the beauty contest.

Straight away from the renderings, the overall look of the 2012 BMW M6 is much cleaner and less “alien looking” than the old M6; this is in line with BMW’s new design direction of “less is more”. Gone are the days of über aggressive arches and testosterone-injected bulges from every angle, the new 2012 M6 benefits from a substantial de-Bangle-ing and subtle aggression that needs a sharp eye and keen wits to distinguish the M6 from say, a 650i sports pack.

If you look at these 2012 BMW M6 pictures from the front, the M6 is wider, and features a larger air dam and lower bumper, complete with built-in splitter. On the overall design, we predict that the 2012 M6 is far from disappointing because when it carries M badge, it means that we are dealing with out of ordinary sports car.

It is understandable that the Bavarian carmaker is being offensive next year by releasing the first 2012 BMW 3-Series; the offensive steps are also warning signs for other auto manufacturers that the Bavarian carmaker is having enough ammo to battle on any market segments. The 2012 BMW M6 will be arriving as brand new M6 because it carries brand new body configuration.
2012 BMW M6 Under the Hood
Sadly the legendary 5 liter V10 will be banned from the 2012 BMW M6 after just one generation’s worth of service, which should make the current M6 something of a collector’s item. The factors leading to its demise in the 2012 BMW M6 specs are difficult to argue with; the V10 was guzzler, making for bad fuel economy and it was heavy – even though it won numerous awards for design, engineering, emissions, and weight.

Now though, it’s a new ball game, the new 2012 BMW M6 gets a new heart in the form of a turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 that should make its first appearance in the new F10 M5 (the first ever M car with turbocharged power). Expect the 2012 M6 to have close on 600 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque in a body that is almost a full 1000 pounds lighter.

Up until now, we have only heard lots of rumors about the debut 2012 BMW M6, but we can officially confirm that the M6 Cabrio will be launched in June 2012 and it will be followed by the coupe version three months later. BMW is also preparing an M version for the upcoming 2012 BMW 6 Series Grand Coupe. The 2012 BMW M6 F12 is rumored will be launched in the second quarter of 2012 and will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012.
